We’re grateful to the Town of Herndon for sharing this message and supporting the ongoing repair work. As crews continue working on the Potomac Interceptor, wipes and other products labeled “flushable” remain a major challenge. They do not break down like toilet paper and can clog pumps, slow repairs, and increase the risk of overflows. We appreciate our neighbors across the region for their patience as crews continue restoring full service and protecting the Potomac River.
