DC Water Seeks Customer Input on Water Use

May 06, 2019

-Survey respondents will help improve DC Water communications and be entered for a chance to win a $100 gift card-

DC Water this week launched a survey to ask customers questions about how they use water, what they think of tap water safety and how they dispose of certain kinds of waste, such as cooking grease and unwanted medications.

The goal of the survey is to better understand what customers know and think about specific water and wastewater topics. This information will be used to help refine current communications and to inform future outreach efforts including the DC Water newsletter.

The survey is a joint effort with 15 other nearby water and wastewater utilities in the region including the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC), Fairfax Water, and Virginia American Water.

Participation is anonymous, but participants who provide an email address will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of three $100 gift cards. The survey is open until May 17, and the results will be shared in June on dcwater.com.

The survey consists of 40 multiple-choice questions and takes no more than 10 minutes to complete.
