WATER MAIN BREAK AT NEW YORK AVE. AND FENWICK AVE., N.E., AFFECTS BRENTWOOD AREA/RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC

November 30, 2004

A 12-inch water main broke early this afternoon at New York Ave. and Fenwick Ave., N.E., causing low and no water in the Brentwood area.

The area affected is New York Ave. between Fenwick Ave. and 16th St. N.E. There is currently no estimate of how long it will be before the main will be fixed.

This break will impact rush hour traffic as two lanes of New York Ave. are blocked off.
