NO OR LOW WATER IMPACTING HOWARD UNIVERSITY

February 09, 2005

As of 3 p.m. today, the entire campus of Howard University in Northwest Washington was experiencing no or low water.

Two buildings on the campus - Douglas Hall on Sixth Street, N.W. and Lindsay Hall at 6th and Howard Place, N.W. - were flooded. Classes at both have been cancelled for the rest of the day.

WASA is on site and working with Howard University personnel to discover the source of the problem.

Currently, there is no estimate of how long it will take to resolve the issue.
