Broken Hyrdrant Prompts Water Main Shut-off at Nannie Helen Burroughs and Kenilworth Avenues N.E.

December 28, 2004

A broken hydrant at the intersection of Nannie Helen Burroughs and Kenilworth Avenues, N.E., spilled water into the roadway, prompting DC Water and Sewer Authority crews to shut off the water main in the area.

Because of the cold weather, the water has iced which has impacted traffic.

The repair should be completed within five hours.
