Dr. Haydee De Clippeleir

Director, Clean Water and Technology

Dr. De Clippeleir is the director of Clean Water Quality and Technology for DC Water. Within this role she oversees the main laboratory, pretreatment program and the research and development group. The research efforts at Blue Plains are mostly related to technology development in area of intensification and resource recovery, process optimization and process control for enhanced carbon recovery, nutrient removal, solids handling and odor control, and development of data analytics based approaches for process optimization within water and wastewater applications. Despite the wide range of research topics covered in her current position, she maintains her passion for anammox based technologies, as studied during her master and PhD research. She strives to improve and accelerate knowledge transfer and technology implementation within the wastewater field.
