Map of lane closure on Clara Barton Parkway at Maryland-DC Border

Drivers should expect delays on Clara Barton Parkway at the Maryland – DC border on October 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During this time, one lane will be closed to allow DC Water to safely deliver equipment to the Potomac Interceptor project site in preparation for the upcoming slip lining work.

The remaining lane will stay open, with flaggers directing traffic in alternating directions. Drivers should slow down, watch for signs, and follow the direction of crews in the work zone.

This section of the pipe was identified as part of a new, ongoing effort to inspect the 54-mile Potomac Interceptor sewer system and prioritize repairs. DC Water moved this area up for emergency repair based on the inspection results. Crews will repair about 400 linear feet of pipe in this area.
