Paperless Billing

Need A User ID?You can sign up for electronic bill delivery by accessing My DC Water and completing a few easy steps. It only takes a few minutes to enroll.

Have User ID Already

Once you sign up for paperless bill delivery, you will no longer receive a paper bill, but rather an electronic notice in one of the formats detailed below. Authorized tenants who sign up for My DC Water will automatically be enrolled in paperless bill delivery.

Paperless Bill Notification Options

E-mail Notification - Receive an email notification when your bill is ready to be viewed online. Simply log into My DC Water to access your bill.

Secure PDF E-mail Notification - Receive an email notification with an attached password protected PDF of your bill.

Secure Pay PDF E-mail Notification - Receive an email notification with an attached password protected PDF of your bill and the ability to pay your bill from the PDF.

SMS Text Notification – Receive a text message when your bill is ready to be viewed online. Simply log into My DC Water to access your bill.

SMS Text To Pay Notification – Receive a text message when your bill is ready to be viewed online, including the ability to respond to the text to automatically pay your bill using your registered payment information.

During COVID-19 we are offering more flexible payment programs (please email email us at credit.collection@dcwater.com). DC Water and District government offer a number of assistance programs for water and sewer bills. Households with less than $121,000 in annual income are encouraged to check their eligibility. DC Water Officials with NPS and ANC commissioners doing ceremonial groundbreaking
DC Water Breaks Ground on Piney Branch Tunnel, Final Phase of DC Clean Rivers Project

Today, DC Water broke ground on the Piney Branch Tunnel, the final major tunnel in our Clean Rivers Project. This work will help keep sewage and trash out of local waterways and make Rock Creek, the Potomac River, and the Chesapeake Bay cleaner for our community.

When we finish the Piney Branch Tunnel, it will hold at least 4.2 million gallons of rainwater and wastewater during heavy storms. Instead of overflowing into Piney Branch, that water will go to the Blue Plains Water Resource Recovery Facility, where it will be treated.
