Drivers should expect delays on Clara Barton Parkway at the Maryland – DC border on Saturday, Sept 26. One lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. while DC Water makes repairs as part of ongoing rehabilitation to a section of the Potomac Interceptor sewer line.

The remaining lane will stay open, with flaggers directing traffic in alternating directions. Drivers should slow down, watch for signs, and follow the direction of crews in the work zone.

This section of the pipe was identified as part of a new, ongoing effort to inspect the entire 54-mile Potomac Interceptor sewer system and prioritize repairs. DC Water moved this area up for emergency repair based on the inspection results. Crews will repair about 400 linear feet of pipe in this area.
