DC Water Celebrates World Water Monitoring Day with Local Students

DC Water will participate in a kick-off event to celebrate World Water Monitoring Day. Joining the Water Environment Federation, the International Water Association, and other environmental partners, DC Water will engage area students in hands-on water monitoring activities of local water bodies. World Water Monitoring Day is an annual international program that provides education and increases awareness about the importance of monitoring the condition of the quality of our valuable water resources. DC Water is a proud supporter.

WHAT: Following a brief program, DC Water representatives will conduct hands-on water quality testing, discuss test results, explain how water is recycled, and demonstrate the wastewater treatment process.

WHEN: Monday, September 19 at 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: Hains Point at East Potomac Park, Ohio Drive, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20024
