Director, Marketing and Production

Tamara Stevenson serves the Authority as Director, Marketing and Production, leading the Production team, within the Office of Marketing and Communications. In this capacity, Ms. Stevenson oversees the development and execution of the Authority’s marketing strategy to ensure alignment with brand messaging and to raise the profile of DC Water across the region and among water utilities nationally.

A versatile marketing and production professional, Ms. Stevenson has more than 20 years of expertise in managing creative design, communications, production, strategy development and team leadership. Prior to joining DC Water, Ms. Stevenson worked with the Council of the District of Columbia in Constituent Services.  Along with former Councilmember Bill Lightfoot, she worked to bring Cable Television to the city and was subsequently recruited as the consumer advocate for the Office of Cable Television. 

Throughout her career, Ms. Stevenson has been recognized for her professional acumen as well as her leadership skills and management abilities. In 2021, Ms. Stevenson was honored by DC Water as Leader of the Year, after becoming the first Authority employee to be nominated by both her supervisor and all of her direct reports. Earlier in her career, she was named Outstanding Employee of the Year by the District’s Office of Cable Television and honored by the DC City Council with a Distinguished Service Award.
