WASA HOLIDAY CLOSINGS

The DC Water and Sewer Authority (WASA) will be closed Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25 in observance of the holidays. This includes the Customer Service Center, Administrative and Business offices.

The 24-hour Emergency Command Center will remain open to respond to emergencies such as water main breaks or sewer problems. The Command Center phone number is (202) 612-3400.

Authority Offers Virtual and In-Person Options

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Washington Aqueduct, which supplies water to DC Water, annually performs a temporary disinfectant switch from chloramine to chlorine. This year, the switch runs from March 25 to May 6. During that time, customers may notice temporary minor changes in taste and odor.
