This dataset provides information about the infrastructure projects included in DC Water’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The dataset is updated on a monthly basis or when significant changes are made to the plan. Our CIP map displays the locations of completed, ongoing, and future projects. When using the map, click on one of the points to view specific details about that project. The information provided is limited to the best available data in DC Water’s possession at the time the dataset was loaded.

Our capital improvement plan is measured in the billions. That's the level of investment required to upgrade our water and sewer systems, comply with federal mandates to reduce nutrient discharges and combined sewer overflows to local rivers, and improve the efficiency of our operations. This work is occurring across the city, and by clicking on the blue points shown on the map you can see what's happening in your neighborhood.
