Imagine A Day Without Water

When you have reliable water service, you don’t have to think about the infrastructure that brings water to your home or business and returns it safely to the environment–but we should.  With the average American using over 60,000 gallons of water per year, we urge you to remember the source and the implications of your water use.

DC Water remains committed to our mission and primary objective to achieve our vision of exceeding expectations by providing high quality water services in a safe, environmentally friendly, and efficient manner. We have made concrete steps to address our aging infrastructure and we require the continued support of our valuable customers to help us continue with our charge.

On this Imagine a Day Without Water, we ask everyone to consider what their day would be like if they couldn’t turn on the tap and get clean drinking water, or if you flushed the toilet and wastewater didn’t go anywhere. What would that day be like? Each year we honor this cause by highlighting the importance of our water infrastructure to not only our daily lives, but to our public health and safety and the economy.
