WATER MAIN BREAK AFFECTS NORTHEAST AREA

January 03, 2005

A water main break at 17th St. and W. St., N.E. is being investigated by DC Water and Sewer Authority crews.

Residents in the 1700 blocks of Montana Ave., the 2400 block of 18th St. and the 2500 block of 17th St., N.E. have no or low water at this point.

The break is in tree space, making repair especially difficult.

Repair is expected to take a minimum of six hours.
