DCWASA Holds Public Hearing on Proposed Rate Increases

The Board of Directors of the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DCWASA), in accordance with Section 216 of the Water and Sewer Establishment and Department of Public Works Reorganization Act of 1996, effective April 18, 1996 (DC Law 11-111;DC Official Code § 34-2202.16), will conduct a public hearing to receive comments on proposed rules, which, if adopted, would establish new rates for retail water and sewer service.

Authority Offers Virtual and In-Person Options

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Washington Aqueduct, which supplies water to DC Water, annually performs a temporary disinfectant switch from chloramine to chlorine. This year, the switch runs from March 25 to May 6. During that time, customers may notice temporary minor changes in taste and odor.
