DC Water making repairs to sewer main

June 21, 2018

DC Water crews are onsite at Anacostia Ave and Ponds St, NE to repair a section of sewer main that collapsed and caused a sinkhole. The repair site is located away from roads, sidewalks and buildings, so there are no closures to report. DC Water is asking residents and passers by to stay clear of the repair site. So far, a 20-foot section of the Anacostia Force Main has been excavated and will be reinforced. The repair is expected to take until at least July 20.
