DC Water Announces Work Schedule For Operation Clean Air Site

(Washington, DC) – The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water) resumes construction activities under its Potomac Interceptor-Long Term Odor Abatement Project. This phase of construction is on Site Number 27, near the Old Angler’s Inn in Potomac, Maryland. Beginning today, crews will be working near the Old Angler’s Inn, located at 10801 MacArthur Boulevard.

To begin the work, crews will be grouting the project site between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. from Wednesday, February 23, 2011 through Friday, February 25, 2011. Also during this time, crews will be working on the water line along MacArthur Boulevard on the Angler’s Inn curve. This portion of the work is scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Impacts:
-The driveway between the main and middle parking lots will be closed during work hours.
-The upstream side of the main parking lot will be used as a staging area for construction equipment and will be inaccessible to the public.
-There will be closure of one lane along MacArthur Boulevard on the Angler’s Inn curve.
-Some traffic stops and delays within the vicinity of the project area are anticipated.
