Flushing Schedule for June 8 - 12, 2003

The annual Flushing Program is one of several water quality projects underway. Beginning in April to November, DCWASA water quality crews will be in neighborhoods all over the city flushing water mains to ‘flush out’ possible sediments that may have formed over time. Authority Offers Virtual and In-Person Options

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Washington Aqueduct, which supplies water to DC Water, annually performs a temporary disinfectant switch from chloramine to chlorine. This year, the switch runs from March 25 to May 6. During that time, customers may notice temporary minor changes in taste and odor.
