DC Water Hosts The World Walks for Water 6K

DC Water understands that water is life. We are participating in the World Walks for Water 6K in support of World Water Day 2011 - Water for Cities: Responding to the Urban Challenge.

Join us this Sunday, March 20th at noon for a 6K (3.7 mile) walk.

The walk will begin at Archives Metro Station (outdoor plaza) - 701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20004. Map of walk route - http://bit.ly/e3iarW.

Please come along and help spread the word! DC Water will provide free reusable water bottles for all participants.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Washington Aqueduct, which supplies water to DC Water, annually performs a temporary disinfectant switch from chloramine to chlorine. This year, the switch runs from March 25 to May 6. During that time, customers may notice temporary minor changes in taste and odor.
