DC Water CEO David Gadis Testifying at Performance Oversight Hearing

Today David L. Gadis, DC Water’s CEO and General Manager, is testifying at DC Water’s Performance Oversight Hearing before the DC Council Committee on Transportation and the Environment.

Mr. Gadis will share with Chairwoman Mary Cheh and the other members of the Committee how DC Water has managed the challenges presented by COVID-19 over the past year, and how the Authority has supported its customers and employees during the pandemic. He will also announce a new Equity Initiative that will change the way DC Water delivers services.

Authority Offers Virtual and In-Person Options

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Washington Aqueduct, which supplies water to DC Water, annually performs a temporary disinfectant switch from chloramine to chlorine. This year, the switch runs from March 25 to May 6. During that time, customers may notice temporary minor changes in taste and odor.
