Celebrating Drinking Water Week May 4-10

May 07, 2008

The D.C. Water and Sewer Authority (DC WASA), joins with organizations around the country in celebrating Drinking Water Week.

Tap water is a resource often taken for granted. Whether brushing their teeth, flushing the toilet, bathing or cooking, most people tend not to think about what it takes to deliver this service, day in and day out. Drinking Water Week provides an opportunity for all to consider the value of a safe, reliable and economic water supply.

DC WASA invites you to join us and our partners, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Washington Aqueduct, at an informational booth on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Federal Triangle metro stop at the top of the escalator, near the Ronald Reagan Building.

Or take this time to browse the DC WASA web site for information about water quality (http://www.dcwasa.com/news/publications/2006%20CCR%20Final%20PDF.pdf), water conservation (http://www.dcwasa.com/education/conservation/default.cfm) or children’s educational activities (http://www.dcwasa.com/kids/index.html).
