Steven Shofar is the Intergovernmental Affairs Manager for the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).  Prior to his position as Intergovernmental Affairs Manager, Mr. Shofar was the Division Chief of the Watershed Management Division in DEP for 12 years.  Prior to DEP, Mr. Shofar worked at the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission in various positions for 11 years.  Mr. Shofar has over 30 years of water resources engineering experience including drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater. 

Mr. Shofar has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the  University of Maryland.
