News and Work Zone AlertsStay informed —
There are two different types of electronic delivery for DC Water information.
News and Notices: For breaking news, press releases, meeting notices, traffic advisories and other information from External Affairs, please subscribe to our News and Notices using the form below. These will be presented in HTML and may include graphics.
Workzones Alerts: A separate function delivers information on emergency workzones throughout the District. These workzones are generated by the Emergency Command Center. Just fill in the Workzone form below to receive alerts from DC Water. We will send you information about work happening in your neighborhood or across the District. To unsubscribe from alerts click here.
To receive both news and workzone alerts, please select All Messages on the form.
High Usage Notification Alerts (HUNA)
We will alert you when your water usage is higher than normal, using our HUNA alert system. Sometimes spikes in water usage can mean leaks or other plumbing problems that need to be fixed, so being alerted early can help you keep your water bills low.
To sign up for HUNA, log on to My DC Water, using the blue log-in box on the right of this page, and let us know if you'd like to be contacted by e-mail, phone call, or text message. If you have not created an account in My DC Water, visit the My DC Water overview page to learn how to register.
If you'd prefer to sign up for HUNA over the phone or via email, call our Customer Care Associates at 202-354-3600 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or send an email to email@example.com. Be sure to provide your name, service address, telephone number, and DC Water account number, which you can find on your DC Water bill.
