What We Do
Steel Water Main Rehabilitation Project
As part of its Capital Improvement Program, DC Water will perform the rehabilitation of existing steel water mains within the district. These 100 year-old pipes are part of a larger transmission main that delivers drinking water to various locations in and around the city. This project will improve water quality and system reliability, increase water pressure in some areas, and maintain adequate flows throughout the system.
Schedule
The construction for these projects started January 2013 and are scheduled for completion October 2013.
