High Usage Notification Alerts (HUNA)

We will alert you when your water usage is higher than normal, using our HUNA alert system. Sometimes spikes in water usage can mean leaks or other plumbing problems that need to be fixed, so being alerted early can help you keep your water bills low.

To sign up for HUNA, log on to My DC Water, using the blue log-in box on the right of this page, and let us know if you'd like to be contacted by e-mail, phone call, or text message. If you have not created an account in My DC Water, visit the My DC Water overview page to learn how to register.

If you'd prefer to sign up for HUNA over the phone or via email, call our Customer Care Associates at 202-354-3600 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or send an email to custserv@dcwater.com. Be sure to provide your name, service address, telephone number, and DC Water account number, which you can find on your DC Water bill.
