2008 Comprehensive Independent Budget Review

The DC WASA Board of Directors commissioned an Independent Comprehensive Budget Review in 2008 at the request of the DC City Council to evaluate the Authority's efficiency and effectiveness and to identify ways for the Authority to contain rising rates for retail and wholesale customers. The resulting report was very favorable, and in delivering it to the Board the reviewers called the Authority "the best kept secret on the East Coast, a beacon worth emulating by other organizations in the industry."
