Water is treated at the Washington Aqueduct treatment plants. We collect water samples continuously to ensure that the water leaving the plant meets EPA standards. In addition, DC Water collects tap water samples throughout Washington, D.C., on a daily basis and analyzes the samples immediately on site and at our distribution laboratory.
If you have any questions about the quality of your drinking water, please call our Water Quality Department at 202-612-3440.
